Our Story

Why Batian?

The inspiration for the name Batian comes from Mt Kenya. Batian is the highest peak on Mt Kenya, representing the founders vision to “inspire others to greater heights”. Mt Kenya has three peaks, each named after Maasai Laibonis (spiritual leaders): Lenana at 4,985m, Nelion at 5,188m, and Batian at 5,199m. Each peak symbolises the three service pillars at Batian Consulting – Talent Assessment (Lenana), Leadership Development (Nelion) and Team Agility (Batian). At Batian Consulting we believe that to summit, we must embody Agility – “the quality or state of being agile: nimbleness, dexterity” (Webster dictionary definition).
